GENERAL PARTICIPATION RULES APPLICABLE TO ALL OF OUR FLASHMOB CHALLENGES

Please read carefully all the rules for participating in our Flashmob Projects below, even in case that you have already participated in our projects (there has been some updates).

  • The team leader needs to make contact with us at our email address worldkizombaproject@gmail.com from the active email address from which we can communicate directly to the team leader in case of need and during all the phases of the project itself.

  • Team leader's full name and active email address

City & Country that you represent

The total number of your team members (at least approx)

Contact info of the team members: Name, Lastname, email address

  • The leader of each group has the responsibility to provide all information about the time, date, and place of the rehearsals and all other arrangements to all the participants in their team. The team leader is responsible for forwarding all other information related to a specific Flashmob Challenge that he/she will receive to the rest of the group.

You do not need to be a dance teacher to become a Coordinator to start this project with us. All you need is Passion for Kizomba and an understanding of the main goal for the Flashmob, which is to promote Kizomba around the world, connect with other dancers and have fun and help those in need.

There is no minimum or a maximum number of participants. There is no limit on how many teams are in the same city, but ideally would be for all the teams to join together for the official filming.

The team leader is responsible for collecting donations among the team and sending one conjoined payment to World Kizomba Project.

    IMPORTANT:

For every sent donation please send us the email when it’s sent so we can track and confirm it.

If the donation is not sent by the name of the team leader it is mandatory to notify us about which team is it made for.

  • The participation donation is 10 euros for each dancer of the group (you are free to donate more if you wish/can).

Part of this donation goes to the support of the Charity of our choice, Teachers of the Flashmob, and the WKP. You will receive the Payment information after your official registration.

    IMPORTANT:

For every sent donation please send us the email when it’s sent so we can track and confirm it.

If the donation is not sent by the name of the team leader it is mandatory to notify us about which team is it made for.

After every donation collection is over, the team leaders will receive proof of payment for the Charity of our choice to their registered email addresses.

  • All the choreographies created for the Flashmob Challenges are in the ownership of the World Kizomba Project.

It is forbidden to perform the choreography without first consulting WKP, filming the performance, and sharing it with us. World Kizomba Project must be mentioned in the videos and promotions related to the performances of the choreography.

It is forbidden to collect money for teaching or performing the choreography except for the donation collection for the realization of the project itself. This means it's allowed to collect money for the expenses of the space you are practicing in, expenses of filming and costumes, as well for extra donation amount only. Please bear in mind that WKP will advertise your city/school with your videos and stories for free during all the phases of the project in question.

If you wish to perform this choreography on a festival or another event, please first contact us.

Structure of the choreography: At the beginning of the video the first part before the choreo starts, you got 32 beats free to position yourself. All choreographies are fitted for the next four 32 beat sets of the song they are made for after which each team needs to create their own 5th part for the remaining 32 beats of the song.

The choreography instructions which you will receive from us are meant to only be shared between each other in your own group.

  • Choose the location for performing, preferably outdoors with many people around for better impact. If that is not possible, choose a location that you can organise.

Preferably the whole team should have the same costumes. Feel free to be creative and make your own unique style of dressing up with the team.

Organise the filming with 2 cameras or 2 phones. The final edited video to be delivered should be a minimum of 1080p or a maximum of 4k format. If you have an option to film with a drone or any other creative ideas for the second angle, be free to do it.

Please include the official World Kizomba Project logo in your video (you will receive file after registration)

We DO NOT edit the videos, so please find someone who can help you with the editing.

Your final video can be submitted via www.dropbox.com, www.wetransfer.com or Google Drive to worldkizombaproject@gmail.com

    IMPORTANT:

DO NOT post the videos of the Flashmob until we first upload them to our Social Media Pages.

Short video clips of rehearsals (not the whole choreo) or photos can be posted on social media during the time before the Flashmob. All posted videos must tag the official WKP Facebook page, the website, or Instagram
